Welcome to your peaceful retreat, nestled in the scenic hills above North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Park in Soddy‑Daisy, TN. This neighborhood offers a unique blend of natural beauty and quiet residential charm. 🌲 Nature at Your Doorstep The nearby gorge is carved by North Chickamauga Creek, a State Scenic River flowing through sandstone bluffs and forested slopes. One of the area’s most-loved landmarks is the Blue Hole — a deep turquoise swimming hole in the creek — just a short drive (or adventurous hike) away. **Please note that the Blue Hole is currently under construction and may not be accessible at this time** Trails abound for hiking, nature walks, and rock scrambling — making this a great spot for outdoor enthusiasts. 🏘 Neighborhood Feel Montlake Road is a clean, friendly, family-oriented street with a strong sense of community and local nature-watching. You’ll experience a quieter pace of life — rural but accessible — with homes set among wooded lots, views of the creek or ridges, and minimal traffic. Despite the secluded feel, you’re still a short drive to conveniences and to the city of Chattanooga. 📍 Location Highlights The trail-entrance to North Chickamauga Creek Gorge is very close: the park spans approximately 6,000 acres and features steep slopes, forested ridges and scenic river views. For a memorable adventure, head to the Blue Hole trail: you’ll enjoy a beautiful natural swimming pool, large boulders, and scenic forest surroundings. While the area is peaceful, it’s wise to remember the terrain is more rugged than a typical suburban neighborhood — rocks, hills, woods and natural features are part of the charm. ✅ Things to Note Cell signal may vary in spots given the wooded hillside and creek-valley location. Evening noises: you’ll hear the creek, rustling leaves, and maybe wildlife — part of the creekside experience. Some access roads/trails may be unpaved or steep — caution advised, especially for those with mobility concerns. Wild swimming/gorge access comes with conditions (check creek levels/trail safety). It’s a true nature setting — great for morning coffee on the porch, evening creek-sound serenity, and hiking by day. You will need a car to access most areas. Creek Access: The home sits directly on North Chickamauga Creek. Guests may access the water using the natural hillside path, which requires walking up and down a moderately steep hill—please use caution. Driveway & Parking: The driveway is fairly steep, and a large boulder on one side can block visibility when exiting. We recommend using the side portion of the upper driveway to pull parallel with the main road before merging so you can clearly see oncoming cars. We do not recommend turning left when leaving the property. There is also a covered vehicle parked in front of the shed. Wood Stove: The indoor wood stove is locked and not for guest use. Outdoor Pizza Oven: The outdoor pizza oven is currently not operational. Creek House & Wildlife: The small creek house offers a peaceful place to relax by the water, though it is not climate-controlled. As this is a wooded, creekside property, you may encounter local wildlife.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The home and yard is lovely. It felt like someone’s well loved space for many years. The creek was icing on the cake! Carrie was so kind and helpful. We saw rock city, ruby falls, Chattanooga children’s museum, and Fall Creek Falls State Park (our favorite). I couldn’t have asked for a better get away.
This was a wonderful stay! The beautiful, unique set up of the house with cool trinkets! The backyard was gorgeous! Open availability to the water if interested. Very cute all around place! Highly recommend!!
Loved this cute place in Soddy-Daisy! So convenient to Chattanooga but private! We’ll stay here again!

This is a great place to stay! A really nice house in a beautiful setting. Everything was clean and well maintained. We only had a couple of questions and Carrie was very quick to respond. Love this property!
My family and I had a very nice vacation here. The house is in a beautiful location with hiking trails right up the road. The river in the backyard makes this a beautiful setting for a vacation or retreat.
Beautiful place! Highly recommend. We had a great time
Everything was so clean and the location itself was beautiful. We came during winter so did not get to enjoy the backyard BUT the views are stunning as you overlook from the kitchen balcony down to the running water. Just a heads up the driveway is STEEP so if you drive a manual make sure you're good with inclines.
I cannot say enough about this creekside, pet friendly property.I booked it for 6 days/5 nights for my husband, parents&our 2 goldens&we all had an amazing time. It offers a private, peaceful retreat while also providing all the amenities of a completely upgraded, modern home. The location allows you to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful mountain surroundings but is close enough to the Chattanooga area if you want to experience city life.We opted to take full advantage of the property&its fully stocked kitchen cooking all our meals onsite&enjoying the beautiful views on the covered porch&down at the creekside screened-in room. All the beds were extremely comfortable&both full bathrooms were upgraded with tiled,walk-in showers. Our host,Carrie, was extremely proactive& helpful throughout our stay, responding almost immediately to any questions including helping book an additional night. We’ll definitely book this gorgeous property again&highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!
All detailed feedback was provided privately, house is great. Entrance/Exit is really scary as accidentally could occur if you are not really careful, outdoor was ok, amenities were great, maintenance not the best but we had fun.
This is a nature lover's paradise. It is within a walkable distance from North Chicamauga Creek Gorge State Park. The house is spacious, cozy and carefully curated with indoor plants and treasures from nature. We'd love to come back and experience all seasons there.
